I’ve been keeping something from you guys, and it’s been killing me to not spill the beans!
Before I reveal my secret, I want to talk a little bit about the brand relationship I have with the Boston based company New Balance. They are my favorite company to work with not only because I love their workout apparel, but because of their involvement in the Boston fitness community, messaging to women, and just everything they stand for. I’ve supported their #LaceUp365 program, I’ve teamed up with them for product giveaways, and most recently I wrote about their collaboration with Kate Spade Saturday, just to name a few.
If they weren’t already awesome enough, New Balance launched their very own Girls Night Out campaign last year, called NBGNO for short. Most people think of high heels and cocktails when they think of a girls night out, but New Balance decided to create a different kind of happy hour with this program. In their words, “it’s a new kind of night on the town” aimed to empower women through both physical and social experiences (YES!). Basically NBGNO combines a workout of some sort (last year the fitness components varied at each event) with nutritious snacks, drinks, music, a photo booth, swag, shopping, and more. <—-definitely my kind of night.
After attending both the June and July events last year, my heart was so happy after being able to connect with other like minded women, meet new friends, and listen to the inspiring guest speakers and blogger emcees.
If you missed out on these events last year, New Balance is bringing Girls Night Out back to Boston for its second season on Tuesday, March 31st from 6-8:30pm at the Back Bay store location. And if you haven’t guessed where I’m going with this by now…
New Balance contacted me a few weeks ago to be the blogger host for this one!
The theme of the night is going to be Body Breakthrough, and to say I am honored to represent both a brand and topic I feel so passionately about is an understatement. I’ll be emceeing the entire night and speaking alongside New Balance fitness ambassador Shay Kostabi, participants can choose between either a 3.6 mile fun run or a resistance band training workout, and there will of course be giveaways, music, healthy apps, a photo booth, and more!
Want in!? It’s FREE and FUN!
Just head to https://www.nbgirlsnightout.com, click on Events, scroll down to the Boston RSVP, and register! If you get there and the event isn’t showing yet, consider this your insider news. New Balance will be getting the event live and making the announcement via email at some point this morning. Space is limited, and past event registration has filled really quickly, so I recommend acting fast! Hope to see you on the 31st to get the 2015 NBGNO season started!
Wow! Congratulations! That is so exciting! This looks like such a fantabulous event, that I don’t doubt you will be awesome at hosting! I wish Pittsburgh had something like this!
Thanks, Stacy! It was awesome. Maybe New Balance will bring GNO to Pittsburgh soon!
I’m just waiting for the event to open!!
Yay! Glad you were able to get in. (Thanks to Cassy!)
Thanks for getting us the inside scoop on the next NB GNO event & congrats on hosting!
I’ll be refreshing like crazy today till the RSVP opens.
And it made my day that I’m in 2 of your photos from past NB GNO events. (The top left resistance band one I’m wearing a gray tee & you can see my weight watchers active link tracker on my waist. I think I’m also in the running photo from the same event later in your post.)
You’re welcome, Danielle! I’m sorry you weren’t able to stay for this past one. Glad to make your day with the pics!
