Thank you for all the good luck wishes on my presentation yesterday. I appreciate your good vibes! I presented at my company’s nursing forum on the topics of self care for healthcare and the benefits of corporate wellness programs.
I was nervous to present to a room of over 200 people, especially in front of several executives from my company, but I am pleased with how it went. Today I’m back at the forum to lead a “Move and Mingle” walk for the nurses to network and energize themselves before their last day of learning. Then I’m finishing out my work day at home, squeezing in a workout, and plopping on the couch for the night.
Before I get into today’s Friday Favorites, I first want to recap my posts from this week:
- Life Lately {May 2014}
- My Two A Day Tuesday Farewell
- Wellness at Work: Community Supported Agriculture
- The Holy Obliques Superset Workout

Tell me about a time you had to present to a large group of people before. Anyone have any fun races coming up? Do you have any fun links to share from your week? Did any of the links I shared resonate with you? What’s up for the weekend?
Aside from my homemade pizza night in tonight, tomorrow I’m going to a wellness retreat in Boston with my friend Erin, and Sunday I will be seeing my dad and grandfather for Father’s Day after attending a baptism in the morning. Hope you all have a great weekend!
Thanks for sharing my post! Have a great weekend!
You’re welcome! Hope you had a great weekend too.
I heard your presentation was wonderful yesterday! That is straight from one of the attendee’s who was from Lehigh Valley Hospital in PA! She said it was motivating and inspirational. Great job, Athena!
Thanks, Dawn! This comment made my day!
Thanks for all the great links to read! I’ve been off my blog game lately so this helps 🙂
I used to always be ridiculously nervous for a presentation. I still do get nervous, but nothing like I used to. I was nervous for a little while for my PhD dissertation, but I actually felt very confident once I had been through the presentation a few times, especially since I pretty much knew the material by heart!
You’re welcome! I bet you nailed your PhD dissertation!
As always some great posts – found several to pin today!!!
I hope that your weekend is super relaxing!!
Thanks, Kim – it was! The health and wellness retreat on Saturday was exactly what I needed to unwind.
Great reads and information shared! Thank you for including me 🙂
Of course!
