Time for another round of Friday Favorites! Before I get into this week’s links, I have a few fun events to tell my local readers about:
Boston Local Food Festival: This Sunday 9/14, the Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts will transform the Rose Kennedy Greenway and the city of Boston into the nation’s largest local and sustainable food hub! The Boston Local Food Festival is a free outdoor event that showcases farmers, local restaurants, food trucks, specialty food producers, fisher folks, and organizations focusing on healthy food and fitness from New England. The festival also features lively chef & DIY demos, a seafood throwdown competition, diverse music and performances, a family fun zone, and more. Tim and I have gone to this event twice before, and it’s always so fun! We are planning to be there again this weekend.
Free Boston Sports Club workout: On Wednesday 9/17, the Boston Sports Clubs is celebrating 40 years by opening their doors and offering free workouts to all Bostonians. Already a member? Bring a friend to join you in this special birthday sweat-sesh. During this open house celebration, BSC will be offering members and non-members alike free fitness classes and demos, a meet and greet with top fitness instructors, giveaways, prizes, and fresh post-workout snacks. Hours may vary depending on location, so make sure to check online first for the details.
Taste of Legacy Place event: My blog friend Sherri has been hard at work planning a block party event in Dedham, MA. At the event, Legacy Place restaurants and eateries will serve up their very best menu items as guests stroll the sidewalks and enjoy live music from Berklee College, a beer tasting from Whole Foods Market, a wine tasting from Studio 3, and more. The event is taking place next Thursday 9/18 from 6-9pm. Tickets are $10 in advance if you purchase online or you can buy them at the door for $15 (cash only). All proceeds benefit The Greater Boston Food Bank.
Let me know if you guys end up at any of these! I’d love to hear about your experiences. Until then, enjoy this week’s favorite reading list. Hopefully it helps you get through your Fridays and to the weekend!

Any cool events coming up in your towns next week? Local readers, have you ever been to the Boston Local Food Festival? What’s on tap for the weekend?
For us: Finalizing the venue and date for our wedding! The two contenders: Atlantica in Cohasset, MA for the late summer nautical feel and Zorvino’s Winery in Sandown, NH for the early fall rustic feel. Has anyone been to any weddings at either?
Let me know if you are going to go to the Taste of Dedham Legacy Place event…
