Wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving today.
Be grateful not only today, but every day, for all the wonderful things in your life.
There is always, always, always something to be thankful for.
I am thankful for all of you, for reading what I have to say every day.
I am thankful for Tim, who is my rock, and helps me more than he even knows.
I am thankful for my family. We go through a lot, but at the end of the day we’re still there.
I am thankful for my friends. The ones I can truly count on.
I am thankful for my health and a roof over my head. Not everyone is so blessed.
I am thankful for my ever-growing self-awareness, as it lets me just be who I want to be.
I am thankful for my body.
I’m proud of how strong it’s gotten, what it lets me do, and how it always lets me know when I’m doing too much.
I am thankful for my work. I am still figuring out my balancing act, but I view this as a challenge and opportunity instead of something to complain about. I feel lucky to have multiple jobs I feel passionate about.
I am thankful for my passions. They make me feel alive.
I am thankful for the wonderful health and wellness community I am a part of, especially at Oak Square.
I know not everyone can relate to it, but it’s my happy place.
What are you thankful for today, and every day?
I am off to teach “Turkey Trim and Tone” before heading to Tim’s aunt’s house today for Thanksgiving. As Bliz said, we gotta be “beastin’ it before feastin’ it,” which I obviously love. It’s going to be fun, and a great way to start the day so we don’t feel as guilty about the damage later on.
One last thing — last year I wrote a “Ten Tips for a Thinner Thanksgiving” post. If you’re looking for some tips on how to still indulge in your favorite holiday traditions but also remain mindful of your choices, click on over to check it out.
Have a wonderful holiday, everyone!
Thank you for such a wonderful post! I am truly thankful for my family – Chuck, Athena,Tony, and Andrea – and my friends every day. Without them, I don’t know where I’d be. I am blessed with my health and strength which I feel very lucky to have. And I feel a very special gratitude to our armed forces for keeping our country safe. Happy Thanksgiving!
Great post, Athena! I am thankful for my amazing family and friends who support me and give me laughs every day! I am also thankful for the wonderful workout community I have gotten the chance to be a part of since I entered the amazing world of “fitness instructor”:) Thanks for all your hard work at the Y and these great posts every day!
