Happy Fourth of July!
I hope everyone gets to enjoy not just a day, but a full weekend of patriotic festivities, relaxation, red white and blue, delicious food, family, friends, and summer fun.
Our Fourth of July weekend plans include two main events. First, some Cape time with my family. And second, a trip to New York for Jen’s wedding! I can’t believe this weekend is already here. I know Jen will be busy, you know, being the bride and all, but I’m excited to see her nonetheless. I’m also excited for a double date-ish weekend with Ashley and Bret. I wish we could have also squeezed in a day trip to visit Erica and Chris in Misquamicut but there just isn’t enough time to do it all. Soon enough!
For today, I just wanted to share a few past blog posts that relate to the holiday:
- Festive Food for the 4th
- Fun from the Fourth (last year’s recap)
- My Favorite Holiday
- Five Healthy Tips for Surviving Grill Season
And for the rest of the weekend, I am unplugging! I’ll be back on Monday with regularly scheduled programming. Until then, friends!
What are your 4th of July plans this year?
P.S. If you make any red, white, or blue treats this weekend – I want to see them! Send them to me via text, email (akaralekas@gmail.com), Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram and make sure to tag me @fitnessandfeta. I will choose my favorites to share on the blog next week!
