Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
As a 100% feta obsessed Greek, I can’t say that today is my favorite holiday of all time (that would be the 4th of July). I have certainly done my fair share of celebrating with my Irish friends and boyfriend though.
Some pics from last night….
Tim and I went out to PJ Ryan’s in Somerville with some of my friends from home. My beer of choice last night was Ommegang Witte, and for dinner I ordered a bunless turkey guacamole burger with a side of sweet potato fries. Fun fact – I hate regular French fries, but love sweet potato fries. I also enjoyed a second side of everyone’s pickles. How do I have that many friends, and a boyfriend, that hate pickles so much?!
We spent too much money for sure, but it was a fun night catching up with my friends!
Some pics from last year….
I honestly tried to look through my old Facebook pictures for more St. Pat’s from the past couple of years, but I can’t find any from post college. And some of the college ones are just scary.
Hi Bridge! That was the most normal one I could find.
Anyways, today we aren’t doing anything crazy for St. Patrick’s Day. It could be a sign that we are getting old? However, I did want to give you guys something Irish related in F&F, so what better than a St. Patrick’s Day workout? If you aren’t drinking today and looking for a workout to do, give this circuit a try. You can do it one, two, or three times through.
As noted, you can certainly feel free to rehydrate with Guinness if you wish! Just for today. 😉
For these exercises, some recommended reps/times for each move could be:
- 45 seconds of squat jumps
- 12 triceps dips with kick
- 15 pushups
- 12 alternating front lunges (each leg)
- 30 seconds tuck jumps
- 15 rear lateral raises
- 60 seconds of inchworms
- 15 calf raises w/overhead press
- 12 kettlebell swings
- 60 seconds spiderman plank
- 15 biceps curls
- 60 seconds alternating crossover jumping jacks
- 10 sets of YTI raises
But please adjust to your own fitness levels. Let me know if you give it a whirl!

Thanks Dawn! 7 miles — you rock!
yesterday was my rest day and I went to Southie for the parade… not sure that is something I will ever do again! haha Love this workout idea, though:)
I’ve actually never gone to the parade in Southie before, despite having lived in Boston oh wait, my entire life!
