Hi, I’m Athena Concannon, a 9-5 corporate wellness coordinator turned international online fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle coach.
I am an ACSM certified personal trainer, a Precision Nutrition Level 1 certified nutrition coach, the owner and founder of Achieve with Athena, and the creator of Summer Strong.
And I am so excited to help you slay your summer goals.
I know from my own experience and from working with hundreds of time-strapped women that summer can be a challenging time of year when it comes to staying on track.
There’s less structure and routine.
There are social events galore.
The weather is nicer, and you’d rather spend time outside drinking a glass of rose on an outdoor patio than staring at the walls inside your gym. Nothing wrong with that!
But I also know that being in control of your health is important to you.
You don’t want your fitness to fall the wayside.
You want to make sure you are doing this whole legit fit lifestyle thing to the absolute best of your ability, year-round, without settling for the status quo or an “it is what it is” attitude like so many other women end up resigning themselves to when things feel challenging. You're better than that.
You want to make sure you actually can ENJOY your favorite summer activities, like hitting the beach with friends or going on hikes with your family, without any guilt or resentment.
You want to be fully present during a season you love, with the people you love, without worrying if what you are doing is good enough, and knowing that you are still being productive with your fitness!
Athena started by helping me look at the big picture and identify what things I could take off my plate in order to feel less stressed. She helped me be kind to myself and meet myself where I was, instead of shaming myself for not being where I used to be. Through her coaching on mindset shifts and custom workouts that make me feel strong AF, I finally have my feet back on solid ground. What Athena truly gave me were the tools to take back my own power. After working with Athena, it is clear that I have gained so much more than I have lost. My 17 pounds lost does feel incredible, but what feels even better is my confidence level, the way I show up for myself and in relationships, and knowing I am in control of my own story, no matter what season of the year it is.
When you join Summer Strong, you get:
- Me as your personal coach for 12 weeks for the added support and accountability essential for closing the gap between what you know you need to do this summer and actually doing it! Any obstacle that comes up, we’ll tackle it together and come up with a perfect strategy that feels aligned for you.
- Three (3) 45-minute coaching calls, held once per month in June, July, and August. On these calls, we will discuss any and all anticipated summer challenges, including but not limited to how to confidently navigate your food decisions while traveling, how to control snacking during unstructured time, how to meal prep and eat healthy when it’s just too hot to cook, how to best fit in your workouts, and more.
- A customized workout plan tailored to your summer needs + training cycles! On our first call together, we will talk about what your schedule looks like, how your summer fitness needs might have to change from your regular year-round routine, and what will be realistic for you to focus on to stay consistent through the summer. Whether summer is a time for you to ramp it up, or whether summer is a season for you to scale back a bit, we will determine that together, organize your training plan, and get you excited to move your body in ways that serve you all summer long!
- Access to my Empowered Together Coaching Club, a private Facebook community for all my clients. This is where you will have access to me for questions, support, and coaching in between our coaching calls. This will also give you access to the challenges I run regularly in that group, the guest speakers I bring in, any LIVE trainings I do, and extra support and encouragement from like-minded women working on similar goals.
