I enjoyed posting a Sunday Survey last weekend.  So I’m back with another one.  Saw that Tina posted a “Which Would You Choose?” survey on Thursday, and thought this would be perfect for another Sunday Survey.

This Or That?

—>  Workout in the heat/humidity, or freezing temps and snow?
It’s definitely HARDER to get yourself up and out of the house when it’s freezing and snowing out, but I think I prefer it that way.  You can ALWAYS warm up with a workout!  Heat yoga anyone?

—> Have washboard abs or flat abs?
Flat abs for sure.  I think washboard abs entail very strict calorie counting, difficult maintenance, and are borderline unhealthy due to low body fat levels.  Flat abs all the way.

—> Dr. Oz or The Doctors?
I don’t really pay much attention to either?

—>  Cardio or Strength?
HOW could I ever possibly choose just one!?  You all KNOW I’m going to choose both… in the same workout!

—>  Cravings:  Protein or Carbs?
Carbs, fo sho.  Afterall, my friends and I believe in a little something called No Carb Left Behind!!

Seriously though, I definitely find myself craving carbs more than protein.

—> Jillian Michaels or Bob Harper?
Jillian!  She’s no joke.  And I kinda wish I could be as tough as she is with her clients.  Plus, I’ve never really tried Bob Harper’s workouts?

—> Frozen Yogurt or Ice Cream?
Real ice cream is delicious, but it gives me a stomach-ache.  So I’m going with frozen yogurt.  Plus with all the different types of fro yo places around these days, you can’t go wrong.

—> To train:  Upper Body or Lower Body?
I will always be a bigger fan of lower body.  I just find I have more moves up my sleeve for legs, and I [not so] secretly love torturing my clients and class with lunges, squats, booty blasters… oh the list goes on.

HOWEVER.  I will say that ever since winning the customized training plan from Tina earlier in the year, and since participating in her bootcamp program, I am really starting to like training my upper body more and more.  I’m using heavier weights than I ever have before, and I can honestly say I’m starting to feel a difference in my arm strength.  Tim told me last night that my arms looked stronger to him too!!  <—Way to my heart.

—> Protein Powder or Food with Protein?
Food.  Definitely food.  I rarely use protein powder — only recently have I started adding it to my smoothies.  I prefer the natural option though.  And I LOVE eggs.  And meat.  And YOGURT.

—> Lunges or Squats?
This question is just as hard for me as the cardio versus strength training question.  I just love both.  You definitely have so many variations to choose from with lunges, but I think I do just love squats a TEENY bit more!

—> Sweet or Salty?
I don’t have that big of a sweet tooth.  However, put a bowl of tortilla chips in front of me?  I’m doomed.

—> Workout Attire:  Cute or Comfy?
Most peeps would classify comfy as a t-shirt, gym shorts, etc.  I do like to do my cardio workouts in gym shorts, but I just CANNOT work out in a t-shirt.  It’s too much extra material or something.  I prefer a cute workout top + spandex capris any day, especially when I’m standing in front of a class.

—> Body Pump or Heavy Lifting?
Lifting.  Body Pump annoys me because it’s the same routines over and over, and too often people choose the SAME weights to use class in and class out.  Challenge yourselves!

—> Yoga or Pilates?
Depends.  LOVE hot yoga.  But if both are unheated, I’m choosing Pilates.

—> Nike or Adidas?
Nike!

—> Running on a treadmill or outdoors?
Can’t really run because of so many past foot problems, but when I’m able to — outdoors.  It’s way better than being stuck on the boring machine.

—> Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s?
Trader Joe’s.  Way cheaper.

—> Summer or Winter Olympics?
Summer.  Question though:  HOW do those platform divers not hit their heads?!?!  I don’t get it!!!!

—> Wine or Beer?
Depends on my mood.

—> Steamed or Roasted Veggies?
Roasted!  Or grilled, yum.

Your turn!  Leave me some of your own “this or that” answers in the comments.

I’m off to the Cape for my friend Joan’s wedding with some Providence College Dance Company girls.  It’s going to be an awesome day / night!
