November Gratitude and Fitness Challenge

A 4-week challenge designed to strengthen your core, flex your gratitude muscle, and establish healthy habits before the holidays


During this challenge, you will get:


A 4-week strength training program designed with progressive overload in mind

You’ll receive a workout plan that consists of 3 strength workouts that you will do for the month of November, so you can get stronger each week and see/feel improvements. You’ll also get a printable calendar with your weekly workout schedule to keep you consistent and on track, and a video demonstration will be held at the beginning of the month to take all guesswork out of how to do each move. The workouts are designed to be done with dumbbells, but Athena will be available to help you adapt to whatever your current equipment situation is right now!


An extra emphasis on core strength

The Thanks and Planks workout plan provides an added focus on core training through both plank challenges and additional ab favorites from Athena. Outside of the main lifts each week, the program also includes 3 bonus cardio and core workouts that are short and sweet and can be sprinkled in throughout the month.


Daily gratitude prompts

In Thanks and Planks, you will focus your mindset around an attitude of gratitude and appreciating the little things in your day to day. We could all use a little gratitude boost after the past few very trying months of 2020, don’t you think? You will get a simple gratitude prompt daily as part of your monthly calendar.


Daily support from Athena and a supportive fitness community

Athena will be available Monday-Friday in a private Facebook group to answer any questions you have about the workouts, such as how to modify anything you need, how to move things around to make sense for your specific schedule, and to give form checks as needed. In the group, there will be goal setting threads each week for accountability, you can bring up any nutrition related questions as needed, and you’ll get to experience what it’s like to be a member of Athena’s Empowered Together Coaching Club. The women in this group are the REAL DEAL. They root each other on and encourage each other, celebrate their wins on good days, and non-judgmentally support each other through challenges and bad days.

Hi, I’m Athena. I’m a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach and the owner and founder of Achieve with Athena.

I help ambitious women create an intentional and empowered approach to fitness and nutrition so they can get strong, increase their confidence, and live their lives more fully and freely – without being bogged down by perfectionism, overwhelm, and diet culture influences.

I have worked in the fitness industry for over 10 years and know that we all have times when we just aren’t feeling as gung ho about our fitness as others. Maybe this has been 2020 for you!?

Sometimes all we need is a little extra accountability and the structure of a well-run challenge with an actual expert who knows her stuff to get your habits moving in the right direction again, learn some new things, or switch up your routine.

I also know that too many women are under the impression that they need to be doing MORE exercise in order to get the results they want, a ton of crunches and sit-ups for effective core work, and to be switching things up all the time to keep their muscles guessing.

This is why I am running the Thanks + Planks challenge.


Thanks and Planks is not a challenge that has you doing a million random exercises just for the sake of it. The programming is very intentional and purposeful.
