Good morning! Hope you are enjoying the weekend. I don’t have a Sunday Sweat Talk post for you today, but I did want to check in with my weekly workout log.
Last Week’s Workouts
Sunday
Off day — this was the first Sunday I haven’t worked out all year. Kind of crazy!
Monday
Taught spin class. It felt nice to be back on the bike!
Tuesday
I subbed for Lauren’s burn and build class and then taught my “Run, Run, Reindeer” workout in my interval class. Since class was crowded, I replaced the one minute jog around the studio with one minute of jump roping. I’m aware that I taught a Christmas themed workout the day after St. Patrick’s Day, but I just didn’t call it that. I did attempt to make a St. Patrick’s Day playlist though. Not with Irish music, but of songs that had something in the lyrics or titles that reminded me of St. Patrick’s Day. Things like jigs, feeling lucky, and parties. I’m a huge loser, I know.
Wednesday
Rest
Thursday
Taught push and pull timed circuits in my 6am class. This left me the kind of sweaty I get after a hot yoga class, so I’ll definitely post the workout soon.
Friday
After work I hopped on the treadmill for 30 minutes, then did my weight room ab circuit 4x. I ended my workout with a burpee finisher.
Saturday
10 minutes of cardio on the row machine, followed by push style supersets (barbell squats/pushups, walking lunges with a weight plate/barbell bench press, step ups to overhead presses / triceps dips). I finished with some abs!
This Week’s Workout Plan
- Sunday: 20 minutes on the elliptical + pull style supersets to even out Saturday
- Monday: Subbing for Lauren’s 6am spin class. If you want to join me, go sign up now! That class fills crazy early on Sunday mornings.
- Tuesday: Making a return to Kickboxing, then teaching my class.
- Wednesday: Off
- Thursday: Teaching my morning class
- Friday: Something TBD
- Saturday: Yoga in Vermont — more on this later!
–Let’s chat–
How’s your life in fitness going? What fitness goals are you working on lately? Have you done any extra good workouts lately? What’s on the agenda for this week?
I am planning to do something a little different on F&F this week… stay tuned!
I had a 3 mile run in 20 degree weather the other day and it felt AMAZING!…. I’m not sure why. Thanks for sharing your workouts. 🙂 Have a great week.
Those workouts are the best… when for some reason, everything about it just feels totally on! I’m not so sure about that 20 degree weather though. 40 degree weather here in Boston deterred me from taking my run outside on Friday.
Can’t wait to hear about the push and pull circuits!
Yes! They were good ones. Will post soon. 🙂
I doing a little self burpee challenge this week – burpees every day (a different kind each day!). Should be “fun!”
Can’t wait to read about the different types you do!
Love your playlist!!
Thanks! It’s silly, but it was fun!
