As our 31 Day Abs Challenge is nearing an end, I thought it would be appropriate to include a quote about pushing yourself. I am so happy that so many of you participated in my challenge for January, but after this last (short) week I want to encourage you all to keep pushing yourselves! Repeat the challenge in February if you want, and see if you can see any improvements or add any more advanced versions than you did this time around. Even without my weekly posts, you can still challenge yourself and push to the max.
Set your intentions, and then get out of your comfort zone. Only you can do that! Others can only motivate so much.
That being said, this week’s core strength tip (and the last one for the challenge) is to do simply that. Push yourselves & get out of your comfort zone. Don’t stick with the same moves over and over. If you’ve mastered your plank, add variations. Change up what you do, add compound movements, add interval training, put those 5-8 lb weights down and see how much heavier you can go.
This is somewhat general, but it wasn’t until I started doing all the above that I finally got my abs to where I want them to be.
Find your strong.
Love this! I feel like I’ve been in a rut with workouts lately and it sucks because unless I workout on my rest day or days, I don’t have time to get to any new classes, which is where my inspiration would be! Luckily I read lots of fitness blogs:)
